I'm okay!

Just wanted to say thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. I'm doing fine. I currently have a cast-like splint on my leg and my left eye is all puffy. But I'm pretty good. Still a little out of it--but suspect that will go away later this afternoon. Hope that all of you are doing well and enjoying the sunshine.

Again, we're not going to be at Leaf and Vine on Saturday night--we apologize for any inconveniece this causes you, we'd love to be there. I'm hoping that the owners can get things together by the end of July for our next scheduled appearance.

Take care and please keep in touch.

Southern fun

A big thanks to everyone Bill, Sarah and David who all came out to Penny Lane Coffee on Friday. We had a great time with you guys. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in August and hoping that our trend of almost getting hit by a semi on the way to Evansville ends soon.

Also, a huge thanks to Enoch, Kevin and Luke of Thornton who put together a great show for us on Saturday. We met some great folks at the Basement (an awesome venue with a great staff) and we can't wait to go back. We indeed, had a great weekend. (I think that I need to start reading the thesaurus again--maybe I'll find some new adjectives that describe how I feel about stuff.) I was actually told that I look like Carrie Fisher--apparently, the Princess Leia version, not the "When Harry Met Sally" version. I don't know--what do you guys think?

Shared a show with Corday at the Viper Room downtown--you guys missed the disco-ing, Chris jumped in on drums with Corday
Sang "Total Eclipse of the Heart" with Bighead (The Terrors) and Jenny "Jem" Schmidt outside the club at 1:30am (no, I was not drinking)

What did you do today?

New! Get featured on the PBtB Blog

So, of course, Ray had to start something. He's the first to send us a photo of himself, sporting his PBtB Tee shirt in an interesting place. You could also be doing something interesing--just try not to get arrested. Send us your photos and we'll post 'em here.

In the studio...still

Day 4:

I'm in charge of singing and ordering lunch and keeping things on schedule today. Not sure if we're getting anywhere or not, but it's certainly interesting. He's funking up Evidence...we'll see.

Leaving tomorrow and wishing Patrice were hear to help me drive. Oh, wait, she couldn't drive anyway because she has to work on homework. Well, at least I could talk to her...no, she'd be studying. Oh, well, I guess I'll be able to sing at the top of my lungs and not worry about bothering her. And, I can play my shaker egg--if there's not a lot of traffic.

Well, I need to go make a decision about drum sounds. What have you guys been up to?

In the studio

I was in the studio today getting drums tracked for the next record. Dave Althen is quite the professional and just whipped em out one after the next. I'm pretty sure that we got:

Avery
Witches
Wishing
Nothingness
Delegate
She Dangled it In Front of Him Just Like a Cat Toy
Xmas Break
My Favorite Things

I was also able to get a couple of acoustic piano songs done. Blake and I will be working tomorrow to track piano and whatever else we need.

Tonite I'm at Jammin' Java hanging at their open-mic. Some amazing talent here.
More tomorrow--
Rhonda

PBtB in DC

What a weekend we had here in town. Friday we played at Staccato with Cincinnati favorites, The Terrors, and also Box. Our friend, Will Westray, formerly of Columbus, brought out his posse and wow--what a cool bunch of folks. Bighead from the Terrors sat-in on the drums and overall just phenomenal evening.

Saturday we headed N to College Park, MD to play at College Perk. There was some confusion and I apologize to those of you who headed out and missed our extra short set. Since we finished early, Blake and Paula took us downtown to see the WII memorial.

Sunday, Trice, James and I had some time off so we headed downtown to the National Archive. We got to see a Philipino parade thing but didn't actually wait to get into see the Declaration or Constitution. It was hot so we decided to hit IKEA instead. Because what's more important? History or buying cheap Swedish furniture? Between all of us, the van was so packed that I couldn't even pick up everything until I dropped them off at the airport. Now the van is full and I can't get any of my equipment out of it. HOpe we don't need it in the studio.
